This journal comprises articles on the history of the camp, interdisciplinary articles, reflections on the significance of the cataclysm that the existence of the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp represents in human history, and information on the work of the Museum and Memorial.
Aside from such regular departments as "From the Preservationist's Notebook," reviews, and "From Our Bookstore," each issue carries a block of articles on a given theme. For instance, issue 9 takes up the problem of concentration-camp (KZ) syndrome, while issue 10 examines the fate of Roma and Sinti in Auschwitz Concentration Camp.
