| The Sketchbook from Auschwitz Published for the first time in its entirety sketches by an unknown author were drawn in the Auschwitz II-Birkenau concentration camp in 1943. The sketchbook was found in 1947 by Józef Odi, a former Auschwitz prisoner, who at that time was a guard at the Memorial Site. Twenty two sheets had been stuck in a bottle and hidden in the foundations of one of Birkenau barracks near the area of the gas chambers and crematoria. Those moving images depict the fate of people condemned to death as well as everyday life of Auschwitz prisoners. LANGUAGE: EN-PL.

The following volumes include: Volume I: The Establishment and Organisation of the Camp Volume II: The Prisoners — Their Life and Work Volume III: Mass Murder Volume IV: The Resistance Movement Volume V: Epilogue (Evacuation and Liberation of the Camp) The French version of the monograph has been extended and updated. | | Voices of Memory 7. Roma in Auschwitz The seventh edition of "Voices of Memory" about Sinti and Roma in Auschwitz. The Gypsy "family camp" ("Zigeunerlager") was established in February 1943 in Birkenau. A total of 21 thousand Gypsy prisoners were registered there. The "Gypsy camp" was characterized by hunger, overcrowded barracks and poor hygienic and sanitary conditions. By the beginning of August 1944, there were only about three thousand people. On August 2, they were taken to the gas chambers of Crematorium V and murdered. The "Gypsy camp" was liquidated in this way. LANGUAGE: EN, PL.
