During European Football Championship Euro 2012 which took place in Poland and Ukraine the site of the former Nazi German concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz  was visited by footballers from England, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. A publication that presents twenty-two drawings done by an anonymous prisoner which were foud hidden in a bottle in the foundations of one of the barracks at Auschwitz II-Birkenau.

On the occasion of this years’ anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi German concentration camp Auschwitz, a unique relic was presented – the only surviving gas chamber door from crematorium no. V, which was blown up by the SS during the final evacuation of the camp.

At a new temporary exhibition at the Auschwitz Memorial you can see many items belonging to people, the vast majority of whom were Jews, deported by Germans to Auschwitz
