The third in a series of workshops on the preparation of an Oswiecim Regional Development Strategy, organized by the Chancery of the Polish Prime Minister and the Regional Development Agency Inc. of Bielsko-Biala, was held on March 10-12 at the Royal Castle in Niepolomice.
The main subject was establishing priorities for development. Issues discussed included "The Auschwitz-Birkenau Camp," "Urban Public and Private Transport in Greater Oswiecim," and "Conditions Affecting the Development of the Oswiecim Region." Workshop participants included Polish government officials, local government representatives, and members of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial Museum staff. |
