Both former Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau concentration camps will be scanned from the air. Photo: Władysław Gorgolewski The aerial scanning, performed from a helicopter, will make it possible to collect data on the preservation state of the former Auschwitz and Birkenau camps within the borders of the Museum. An ortophotomap will be generated - the actual map of the area in the geodetic layout. The scanning is completely safe for people, animals and plants. Impediments and changes concerning touring the Museum.
