Portraits: Auschwitz Concentration Camp, 1940-1945

Portraits, mostly of prisoners, made illegally in Auschwitz, with some others made legally on orders from SS men. They include portraits of Gypsies, made as illustrations for Dr. Mengele's experiments. Mostly in pencil, although there are also some in pastel or  oil. Artists include Xawery Dunikowski, Stanisław Gutkiewicz, Franciszek Jaźwiecki, and Mieczysław Kościelniak. In Polish and English versions.
